strategy. Rabina’s strategy was two-pronged: negotiate with the City of Hollywood for the sale of the property as a library while repositioning it for use as a higher value commercial site. At this time, Rabina learned that Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines was trying to relocate its South Beach production facility, where all on-board entertainment was rehearsed, costumes fabricated and sets prepared. Royal Caribbean’s wish list for its new site included: space for immediate production needs and opportunity for expansion, ample temporary staff housing in the immediate area, and, since most staff members would not have cars, a selection of entertainment venues and amenities within a comfortable walking distance. While 2700 Hollywood Boulevard was merely an average retail location, Rabina quickly realized that it was an ideal site for Royal Caribbean.  Next
